Our services are made possible by funds raised through grants, special events, business sponsors and individual donations. Because our time is limited, we would love your help in seeking out opportunities for funding and support!
We need volunteers to help plan, organize and assist on special event committees and fundraising events. Volunteer assistance is also needed with securing individual or business sponsorships, grant-writing and silent and live auctions. Please see the events page for upcoming event dates.
Providing Group Meals
During our parenting classes, we provide dinner for the entire family and a corresponding art class for children. By providing childcare and meals, families who would not otherwise be able to attend are able to actively participate in the parenting classes.
The Phoenix Center needs volunteers to donate approximately 20 meals for the families attending our parenting classes. (Meals can be home-cooked or donated.)
Volunteering as a counselor at our therapeutic camp sessions is a great opportunity to gain direct service hours and experience utilizing a child-centered, experiential and strengths-based therapy approach. While we would love to accept all interested volunteers, volunteer space is limited. Volunteers must be mental health professionals or graduate level counseling or social work students. Applicants must pass a thorough background check and interview, have relevant experience working with children and adolescents and attend our volunteer training and orientation. Please fill out the Camp Phoenix Volunteer application below and return it to email@example.com
Volunteering to cook a meal for our campers is a heart-warming way to support our mission. Meals can be family-style, and are needed for approximately 20 people per overnight session. Also, snacks are needed for 25 children for each of our day camps.
Have an interest in helping on a day-to-day level? The various tasks that we could use your help with include:
Putting together folders & resources for Phoenix Center families
Organizing art supplies and donations
Writing newsletter articles
Running errands such as picking up snacks or supplies
