Development Manager
As the Development Manager, you will play a critical role in the growth and sustainability of the Phoenix Center by overseeing and implementing strategic fundraising initiatives. Reporting to the COO, your primary responsibility will be to manage successful implementation of events, campaigns, and donor stewardship, including individual donors, foundations, and corporations. Through your leadership, you will drive donor engagement, cultivate relationships, and work closely with the Executive Leadership team to support development goals. Some nights and weekends are required.
Major Gifts Officer
As the Major Gifts Officer, you will report to the COO and will play a critical role in the growth and sustainability of the Phoenix Center by stewarding major donors and implementing key fundraising initiatives. Your primary responsibility will be to build and grow relationships with high-value donors and ultimately increase funding from individual donors, foundations, and corporations. Through your leadership, you will drive donor engagement, cultivate relationships, and work closely with the Executive Leadership team. Some nights and weekends are required.
Clinical Director
Under the direction and supervision of the CEO, the Clinical Director is responsible for the implementation, management, and supervision of the organization’s clinic in accordance with the standards set by the CEO and Board of Directors.
The Clinical Director will work within the policies, guidelines, and mission of the organization and is accountable for specific projects, deadlines, and deliverables. The position requires an intelligent, results-oriented, team player with excellent clinical, management, and interpersonal skills.
Volunteer Coordinator
We are seeking an organized, mission-focused Volunteer Coordinator who will grow and lead our relationship-centered volunteer program that expands our impact across the organization. The Volunteer Coordinator will cultivate a welcoming, organized, and inspiring volunteer experience; one that invites people into our mission and empowers them to contribute in meaningful ways. This role will support attract, schedule and assign volunteers to support: events, administrative roles, fundraising support, facility and maintenance, and our equine therapy program, including barn management and horse care.
The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for attracting, onboarding, and managing a dynamic volunteer community that supports the organization’s mission. This role will manage the full volunteer lifecycle including, outreach and initial contact to volunteers, to background checks, reference verification, scheduling, and thanking volunteers. This position ensures volunteers are well-prepared through training on policies, confidentiality, and best practices for working with children and families, while also providing consistent supervision, encouragement, and opportunities for growth. Through strong communication, intentional coordination, and relationship-building, the Volunteer Coordinator cultivates a reliable, compassionate volunteer community that meaningfully contributes to the organization’s healing-centered work.
Barn Manager
As the Barn Manager, you will report to the Manager of Equine Services. You responsibility will be to ensure the health and well-being of the Phoenix Center’s therapy horses and the safety and upkeep of the equine facilities. Your role will include overseeing daily horse care, maintaining the barn and pastures, coordinating veterinary and farrier schedules, supervising volunteers and part-time barn staff, and supporting the equine therapy team.
Through your leadership, you will ensure that our herd, facilities, and program remain in top condition so that our equine therapy work can thrive. This is a full-time position. Some evenings and weekends may be required.
Barn Assistant
As part of the barn staff, you will report to the Barn Manager and ensure the health and well-being of the Phoenix Center’s therapy horses and the safety and upkeep of the equine facilities. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting with daily horse care and helping to maintain the barn and pastures.
This role supports the safe and effective operation of our equine therapy program by ensuring high standards of horse care, maintaining barn facilities, and coordinating horse needs with program staff. The ideal candidate is experienced in horse care and barn management, aligned with trauma-informed, relational horsemanship practices, and comfortable working alongside therapists, volunteers, and children and families with diverse needs.
